NEWLY MINTED RADIO HALL OF FAMER DC101'S ELLIOT SEGAL DISHES ON HIS CAREER AND WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

It was the early Eighties when Elliot Segal realized radio was going to be his future. Morning Zoo shows were hitting stride as Eighties culture was exploding. His introduction to big personality morning radio came as a listener to John Lander’s morning show on KKBQ in Houston. He would eventually start working for Lander and other broadcast legends such as Scott Shannon and Danny Bonaduce, before taking the plunge as a full time air personality, teaming with Elvis Duran for mornings at Z100 and then launching the Elliot in the Morning show on DC101 in Washington, D.C., where he currently resides. He’s had a career in radio so successful that he is being inducted to the Radio Hall of Fame on October 28. I recently caught up with Elliot to talk about his Hall of Fame career.
